Dissertation Fellowships for ROC Students Abroad (Chinese culture | Americas)


The Dissertation Fellowships for ROC Students Abroad from the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation for International Scholarly Exchange support doctoral candidates in the Americas (USA, Canada, Central and South America) working on Chinese cultural studies. Applicants must be working on topics related to Chinese culture and society, the development of the Republic of China, or Taiwan Studies. Applicants must be citizens of the ROC. Applicants should have completed all other requirements for their Ph.D. degree, and must be in the last year of their doctoral program. The fellowship provides $20,000 for one year. The Grant does not cover institutional overheads. Applications may be submitted between August 1 and October 15 each year; grant recipients will be informed in early June. The next applications close on October 15, 2023.
