EMBO Global Lecture Courses (life sciences)

The EMBO Global Lecture Courses Grants provide funding for lecture courses in the life sciences. The course should provide basic underlying concepts thereby making the topic accessible to scientists with diverse scientific backgrounds. Organizers can be based in any country but the course must take place in an EMBC Member State, an EMBC Associate Member State, in countries and territories covered by a cooperation agreement or in countries eligible for support by EMBO and The Company of Biologists (see the full list of countries). Courses should be between 3 to 10 days and with up to 120 participants. EMBO contributes up to €45,000 (€35,000 euros of core funding plus €10,000 for travel grants, registration fee waivers and childcare grants) per course. There are two application rounds in 2023 with closing dates on March 1 and August 1.
