Fulbright Schuman Program – Grants for (Pre)Doctoral Research (EU citizens | USA)
The Fulbright Schuman Program from the Fulbright Commission in Belgium supports EU citizens with scholarships for research in the United States with a focus on EU affairs/policy, or the US-EU transatlantic agenda. The Grants for (Pre)Doctoral Research support PhD students who are EU citizens to study or conduct research in any academic field at an accredited U.S. institution for a period between four months and one academic year (9 months). The Research proposed must be relevant to U.S.-EU relations, EU policy, or the EU institutions and to at least two EU Member States. The award provides:
- Scholarship of up to 2000 euro per month (USD equivalent)
- Travel stipend of 2000 euro (USD equivalent)
- J-1 visa sponsorship
- Health benefit plan
