The 2024 HFSP Cross-Disciplinary Fellowships from the Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) support recent PhD graduates in non-biological sciences (e.g. physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering or computer sciences) to fully immerse in life science research through postdoctoral research training in the life sciences abroad. Applicants may be of any nationality. Applicants who are nationals of HFSP member countries may conduct their research anywhere in the world. Applicants from non-member countries must conduct their research in a member country. HFSP member countries include: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus (EU part only), Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Republic of Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The fellowship provides stipend funding and travel support for 3 years, including additional support for recipients with families. The fellowship does not cover institutional overheads/indirect costs.
Applicants must submit a letter of intent by May 11, 2023, and the invited full application by September 28, 2023.
