International Research Ethics Education and Curriculum Development Award (USA + developing countries)

The International Research Ethics Education and Curriculum Development Award from the Fogarty International Center of the NIH supports research education activities in the mission areas of the NIH. The overarching goal of this R25 program is to support educational activities that foster a better understanding of the ethics of biomedical, behavioral and clinical research and its implications. The Award supports:

  • Courses for Skills Development

  • Mentoring Activities
  • Research or Practicum Experiences

An application may be submitted by institutions the USA and other high-income countries, but all applications must have collaborators at an LMIC institution. The definition of LMIC is based on the World Bank classification. Applicants may apply for up to 230,000 USD in direct costs per year for up to 5 years.

The next letters of intent are due on May 6, 2024 and full applications are due on June 6, 2024.
