The 2025-2026 Joan and Joseph Birman Fellowship for Women Scholars is funded by the American Mathematical Society to support mid-career women mathematicians working at research institutions in the USA. The recipient may use the fellowship funds at her discretion to facilitate her research career in mathematics, for example, for release time, participation in special research programs, travel support, childcare, etc. The Fellowship provides 50,000 USD for the academic year 2025-2026. AMS membership will also be offered to the recipient for the duration of the Fellowship.

Applications open on July 15, 2024, and close on September 30, 2024.
