The Khoo Postdoctoral Fellowship Award (KPFA) from the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC) supports exceptional postdoctoral researchers in engaging in cutting-edge research under the direct supervision of a mentor. Candidates with no more than 3 years of postdoctoral research experience at the time of application are welcome to apply. Applicants must hold one of the following degrees or their equivalents: PhD, DSc, MD, MBBS, DDS, DVM, PharmD. Priority will be given to candidates with a first (or co-first)-author publication.

Applicants must fulfill the following conditions to be eligible to apply:

  • Must have accepted a postdoctoral research position with Duke-NUS or their mentor’s institution based in Singapore by the application closing date, and
  • Must anticipate receipt of their PhD/DSc/MD/MBBS/DDS/DVM/PharmD degree by 1 June 2024.

Applicants should apply under the guidance of a mentor who must be an investigator with a regular rank, clinical, or adjunct faculty appointment at Duke-NUS.

This award supports a budget of up to 150,000 SGD over a period of 2 years. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2024.
