The Molecular and cellular medicine programme from the Medical Research Council (MRC) supports UK-based research focused on molecular and cellular medicine. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree, based at a UK research institution, and have a track record of securing funding and delivering research. There is no limit to the funding budget, projects are typically over 1 million GBP and the MRC funds 80% of the full economic cost. Funding is available for up to 5 years.
Application rounds close every January, May and September. The next applications close on January 10, 2024.
