Share

Grants from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation support efforts around the world that advance the Foundation’s mission in its focus areas, including education, civil society and the environment.

  • The Civil Society program provides grants in the USA and internationally to support national, regional and global-level organizations working to protect the space for civic engagement, enhance community philanthropy development and increase access to justice in communities around the world.
  • The Education program funds projects solely in the United States.
  • The Environment program primarily funds organizations in the Great Lakes region, but also makes grants to selected organizations in other countries to help ensure that international investment and trade support sustainable development and reduce environmental degradation.

Eligible applicants are requested to first submit a letter of inquiry form to establish suitability of the proposed project for the Foundation’s funding.
