The Terry Fox New Frontiers Program Project Grants from the Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI) supports Canadian research teams exploring new frontiers in cancer research which may form the basis for innovative cancer prevention, diagnosis and/or treatment. The goal is to discover and explore new knowledge with the potential to transform cancer diagnosis, treatment and/or understanding of cancer biology. The program is open to faculty-level scientific and clinical research groups at eligible sponsoring Canadian institutions. Applications must include consortia of at least three innovative and independently fundable research projects. This Request for Applications (RFA) supports New and Renewing applications excluding indirect costs.

New applications may apply for up to 2,400,000 CAD for projects ranging from three to five years.
Renewing applications may apply for up to 7,500,000 CAD for projects ranging from five to seven years.

Letters of Intent are due July 8, 2024. Invited full applications are due November 18, 2024.
