NIHR open access requests (UK)

The NIHR open access requests from the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) support NIHR-grantees to comply with NIHR’s open access policy. NIHR requires that publications from its funded research must be immediately, freely and openly accessible to all. Funding request options include:

  • additional Open Access funding
  • extension of Open Access funding period
  • CC BY-ND licence exception
  • Open Access reimbursement for close awards

Applications are assessed on a rolling basis and eligible applicants are encouraged to apply at any time.
