The Pharos of Alexandria Global Learning Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) recognizes a junior or senior undergraduate, or graduate student who has excelled and demonstrated leadership. Nominee must be a student member of ASABE and enrolled as a student at the time of nomination. The candidate should also have expressed their desire to be actively involved in ASABE.
One award is given each year, alternating between:

  • An undergraduate junior or senior in odd-numbered years.
  • A graduate student in even-numbered years.

However, nominations for both categories are accepted each year in case there is no qualified student in the intended category. The other student category of applicants will then be considered for the award. The Award provides 1,000 USD in cash, an engraved plaque and a complimentary Annual International Meeting registration.

This is an annual award and the next nominations close on October 31, 2024.
