The Frank J. Tusa Pilot Award for Research in Hepatic Encephalopathy provided by the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Foundation supports new, highly innovative research ideas that focus on interventions to improve outcomes for persons living with Hepatic Encephalopathy (HE) from liver diseases. Applicants must be early-career faculty members at or below the rank of Associate Professor/equivalent. Applicants must be affiliated with a research institution in the USA, Canada or Mexico. Applicants must be members of the AASLD. The Award provides 50,000 USD over 1 year (no indirect costs).
