The Focused Ultrasound Foundation´s Pre-Clinical Awards provide funding for investigator-initiated pre-clinical or early-stage research projects involving the use of image-guided focused ultrasound to treat diseases. Applicants must first submit an abstract (letter of intent) and full-application may only be submitted with approval from the Foundation. Applications are encouraged from researchers around the globe, at all career stages, including industry researchers. The Award provides up to 100,000 USD over 1 year.
There are several tracks of funding priorities, including:
- General Awards Program
- Brain Program
- Cancer Immunotherapy Program
- Veterinary Program
- Industry Award Program (for industry applicants)
- Education Program (for students and postdoctoral fellows)
Applications entail a 2-step process, applicants are required to first submit an abstract and upon assessment, may be invited to submit a full application. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis.
