Project Grants (UK Diabetes Research)
The Project Grants from Diabetes UK provide funding for high-quality, hypothesis-driven diabetes research projects. Specifically, the Foundation seeks proposals that evaluate the clinical relevance of C-peptide concentrations in type 1 diabetes. The principal investigator should have a tenured faculty appointment at a UK research institution or can demonstrate salary source for the duration of the grant. Applicants may apply for up to 500,000 GBP over 5 years (direct costs only). Diabetes UK Fellowship holders requiring a visa to work in the UK are eligible to apply for a Global Talent Visa under the fast-track process of endorsement. There are two independent assessment rounds with closing dates in June and December. The next applications close on December 1, 2022.
