Public Policy Research Award (USA | lung disease)

The Public Policy Research Award from the American Lung Association supports research on and evaluation of existing public policy and programs, as well as pilot and demonstration projects that inject innovative ideas and provide evidence for the development of new public policies impacting lung health. Areas of interest include and are not limited to tobacco control, air quality, health policy, disparities, modeling and informatics. At the time of application, the applicant must hold a doctoral degree or a relevant terminal professional degree such as an MPH and have a faculty appointment or equivalent with demonstrated institutional commitment (salary support, research space), access to computers and software, in a recognized academic institution or established not for profit research entity in the USA. Applicants should be on-track to pursue a career in public policy research. The application is open to researchers in public policy, economics, political science, sociology, law, and related disciplines.

The award provides 50,000 USD/year for 2 years (no indirect costs). Applications close on December 15, 2022.
