The Raman Charpak Fellowship from the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR-CEFIPRA) supports research collaborations between France and India by providing research students with the opportunity to spend research time in the counterpart country. Applications are open to PhD students in India and France, and master’s students in France. Applicants must either be Indian citizens residing in India, or French citizens residing in France. Applications are open to students in the following areas:
- Atmospheric Sciences, Earth Sciences and Environmental Sciences
- Materials Sciences
- Physical Sciences
- Chemical Sciences
- Engineering Sciences
- Biological Sciences, Life and Medical Sciences
- Mathematical and Computational Sciences
- Agricultural Sciences
The time spent in the exchange country should be between 2 – 6 months. For Indian students in France, the stipend is 1500 EUR/month. For French students in India, the stipend is 45,000 INR/month plus support for travel, visa and insurance.
