The RNID-Dunhill Medical Trust Fellowships support new investigators in hearing research in the UK. The award seeks to support the discovery and development of new medical treatments to protect and restore hearing and silence tinnitus. The fellowship supports the transition of postdoctoral researchers to independent investigators.

The applicant should be an early career investigator and not a permanent employee of the university or research institution.

The proposed projects may be in the areas of:

  1. Research to underpin the development of treatments for hearing disorders, including tinnitus
  2. Research to improve how new treatments for hearing loss and tinnitus are developed and tested

The fellowship provides 150,000 GBP for 2 years and does not cover indirect costs but successful applicants are eligible for support from the Charity Research Support Fund (CRSF) to cover indirect costs. Applications are due on April 24, 2024.
