The Scholar (Career Development) Awards from the St. Baldrick’s Foundation provide funding for US-based early-career researchers working on childhood cancers. Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. degree in the research discipline of the application, have a full-time faculty appointment for not more than 7 years at the time of the initiation of the Award. The host institution must be in the USA; applicants must have the legal right to work in the USA but do not necessarily have to be US citizens or permanent residents. The Award provides 110,000 USD/year for the first 3 years; the Award may be renewed for 2 more years at 115,000 USD/year to cover the applicant´s salary and other costs. This is a limited submissions funding opportunity and each institution may nominate one candidate.

Letters of Intent are due on December 8, 2023 and invited full applications are due on February 24, 2024.
