The Spinal Cord Injury Research on the Translational Spectrum – Postdoctoral Fellowships from the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation support research to improve the understanding of traumatic spinal cord injury and develop new approaches to alleviate the dysfunction and complications that follow. The Two-year Postdoctoral Fellowships encourage early-career training and specialization in the field of spinal cord injury research. The research must be conducted at a research institution in the USA or Canada.

The Fellowship provides up to 100,000 USD/year for up to 2 years. Fellowship funds are intended to be primarily used for the fellow’s salary. The Neilsen Foundation will allow up to $35,000 over the course of the two-year grant for non-personnel costs, provided the Fellow’s salary and fringe are fully covered and total costs do not exceed $100,000 per year. Part of the funds may be used for open access publication costs.

Applications open on April 26, 2024. Letters of intent are due on June 7, 2024. Full applications are due November 8, 2024.
