The Transition to Independence Grant from the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) supports US-based anesthesiologists to transition from a mentored researcher to establishing their independent research careers. Applicants must be members of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and have completed work on a FAER Mentored Research Training Grant within the past two years. The grants provide funding of 75,000 USD for 1 year. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the USA (J1 visa holders may not apply). Funds may not be sure for the applicant’s salary or additional benefits. The Grant does not cover indirect costs. Applicants are encouraged to apply anytime.
