UIM Resident Aesthetic Research Mentorship Award (dermatology | USA)

The UIM Resident Aesthetic Research Mentorship Award from the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS) supports the knowledge and education of dermatology residents who belong to groups that are underrepresented in medicine (UIM), in aesthetic and procedural dermatology through mentorship with a leader in this subspecialty. This award is sponsored by Allergen Aesthetics, an AbbVie company.

The award seeks to develop mentoring relationships that might not otherwise be possible due to distance or funding availability. Applicants must meet all of the criteria below:

  • Is a dermatology resident in the USA.
  • Be current or pending members of WDS.
  • identify as belonging to an underrepresented in medicine group defined by the AAMC as follows: Black/African-American, Hispanic/Latino, and Native American (American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander).
  • in good standing at their academic institution.

Awardees will be given six months to complete their mentorship experience and research project.

Applications close on January 17, 2024.
