The Visiting Medical Student Diversity Scholarship from the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) supports 4th-year AAN member US medical students who plan to pursue a Neurology visiting student rotation at a LCME/AOA approved US medical school or a National Institute of Health. Medical students must be from one of the following underrepresented groups in neurology: 

  1. African American/Black  
  2. Native American 
  3. Native Hawaiian 
  4. Alaska Native 
  5. Hispanic/Latino  Location of visiting student program should be at a United States (US) LCME/AOA-accredited medical school or National Institute of Health.  NOT at the student’s home school.  

The AAN supports selected students with 2000 USD to supplement the expenses for the elective rotation.
