The funding scheme Visiting Professorships from the Leverhulme Trust enables UK institutions to invite eminent researchers from abroad to enhance the skills and knowledge of its staff and students. Funding of up to 150,000 GBP are available per application (does not include institutional overheads / indirect costs) and visiting professors may stay for 3-12 months. Applications from all subject areas are encouraged, with the exception of biomedical research for human or animal diseases and research with clinical applications, as these areas are well served by other funders. The Visiting Professorship funding scheme is offered twice a year and the next application closing date is May 4, 2023.
