The 2024 Innovative Project Award from the American Heart Association (AHA) supports high-impact research that could ultimately lead to critical discoveries or major advancements that will accelerate the field of cardiovascular and/or cerebrovascular research. Preliminary data is not needed and not allowed in the proposal. Applications are open to independent cardiovascular researchers at research institutions in the USA. Applicants must have a faculty appointment and hold a M.D., Ph.D., D.O., D.D.S., D.V.M or equivalent highest degree in their discipline. All applicants must be AHA members when submitting the full application. The Award provides 100,000 USD per year (including 10% institutional indirect costs) for 2 years. Letters of intent are due on December 1, 2023. Invited full applications are due on March 8, 2024.
