The AISG AI Accelerated Masters Programme (AMP) enables students to fast-track their academic research journey by attaining a Masters by Research degree within a year after completing their undergraduate studies at one of the Singapore-based Autonomous Universities (AUs), namely:

  • National University of Singapore (NUS)
  • Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
  • Singapore Management University (SMU)
  • Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)

Key research focus themes include:

  • Trustworthy and explainable AI
  • Privacy-aware AI
  • Resource-efficient AI
  • Collaborative AI
  • Continuous Learning AI


  • Applicants must be Singaporean citizens.
  • Currently in their penultimate (second final year) of undergraduate studies at one of the Singapore-based AUs.
  • Must intend to pursue a Masters by Research within the same faculty and institution where they are enrolled for undergraduate studies.
  • Must demonstrate relevant AI research experiences through:
    – completing at least one academic year of an AI-related project in the UROP or equivalent programmes, OR
    – completing at least nine months of AI research-based internship/attachment with an AI expert, OR
    – publishing at least one AI publication in the main fundamental track of an AI conference as the first or co-first author.

The AI Singapore Accelerated Masters programme follows a nomination-based application process. Universities will recommend suitable applicants to AISG.

The programme offers:

  • Two years of support in two phases:
    – An allowance support of 2,000 SGD/month during their undergraduate period up to a year, and
    – A stipend of up to 3,500 SGD/month during Masters period up to a year, along with full tuition fee coverage for Masters studies.
  • Additional benefits include conference allowances, as well as other allowances for Masters Dissertation.

Nomination from all universities are due on May 21, 2024.
