The Alzheimer’s Association and NACC New Investigators Awards Program (NIAP) supports new and early-career investigators from across the 37 ADRCs programs in the USA. Applicants must be must be a new investigator, defined as post-doctoral fellows, residents, or junior faculty that have not yet been promoted to associate professor rank (MD or PhD), within 10 years of rank, and not already having had an R01 grant at the time of applying for a NIAP. Researchers and investigators with a higher or lower academic rank are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be affiliated with an ADRC program in the USA. The grant provides up to 200,000 USD, including direct and indirect costs for costs related to the proposed research for up to three years. The award provides $135,000 in direct costs for one to two years + 10% indirect costs. Funding may be used for salary, computer software, research supplies, open access publication fees and travel costs.
The letters of intent are due on November 30, 2023 and invited full applications are due on January 30, 2024.
