The CAPES-Humboldt Research Fellowship is a joint program from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Brazilian research funding organisation CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) to support mobility of researchers from Brazil to conduct research in Germany. Applicants may be of any academic discipline, must be postdoctoral or experienced researchers who are Brazilian citizens or permanent residents. Applicants should be currently residing in Brazil. Applicants who are German citizens may also apply, but must have been living and working in Brazil for at least 5 years. The Fellowship provides funding support for 6-24 months. Monthly stipend for postdocs is 2,600 EUR and for experienced researchers the stipend is 3,100 EUR, plus additional funding support for family, language courses, and travel allowances. Applications are assessed twice a year, with the next deadline on May 31, 2023.
