The Drug Discovery Initiative (DDI) from the Children's Tumor Foundation supports neurofibromatosis drug discovery by funding researchers proposing to investigate novel or repurposed therapies for NF or to develop tools that support such research. Specifically, the DDI program aims to: 

  1. support early stage testing of therapeutic compounds for the treatment of NF
  2. support generation of new in vitro or in vivo model systems for NF

Applicants may be of any nationality and based anywhere in the world. Applicants must hold an MD or PhD; applications are also open to industry researchers. The Award provides one year of funding (inclusive of 10% indirect costs):

  • Up to $40,000 for in vitro
  • Up to $85,000 for in vivo

Applications open on January 8, 2024 and close on February 5, 2024.
