General Research Grants: Projects (humanities worldwide)
The General Research Grants: Projects from the Gerda Henkel Foundation provide research funding for humanities researchers worldwide with a particular focus on the following subject areas:
- History of Art
- Historical Islamic Studies
- History of Science
- History of Law
- Prehistory and Early History
Funding is provided for PhD and/or research scholarships of project participants with additional benefits. Support can be provided for 1 to 24 months. Applicants applying for PhD scholarships are funded at 1,600 EUR/month. For postdocs this funding is at 2,300 EUR/month. For established researchers this funding is at 3,100 EUR/month. Additional funding is provided for successful applicants with children. The next application closing date is June 1, 2022.
