The Innovation Award from the International Rett Syndrome Foundation (IRSF) supports independent researchers working on Rett syndrome worldwide. The award intends to:
- provide seed money for research that leads to the identification of therapeutic targets or therapeutic approaches to treat Rett syndrome
- assist investigators to establish careers in the field of Rett syndrome research, and
- lead to follow-on funding from other agencies.
Applicants should have an established track record in Rett syndrome research. The Award provides 150,000 USD/year in funding support for 2 years, including 10% indirect costs. The letters of intent are due on May 18, 2022 and invited full applications are due on July 1, 2022.
