The JSPS-NUS Joint Research Program/Joint Seminar from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), the National University of Singapore (NUS), and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) supports promote bilateral scientific collaboration between Singaporean and Japanese scientists. Applications for joint research projects and joint seminars are invited for all fields of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences.
The joint application must include one Singaporean and one Japanese Principal Investigator, who would be responsible for technical as well as administrative co-ordination of the project and its periodic scientific and financial reporting to NUS/ JSPS respectively. The duration of the project is 1 to 2 years.
Applicants may apply for funding support for the bilateral organization of a joint seminar in Singapore or Japan with a maximum duration of one week.

The amount of funding provided is:
Japan – Up to 2,500,000 JPY for each seminar or project year.
Singapore – Up to 38,000 SGD for each seminar or project year.
