The Large Research Grants on Education from the Spencer Foundation support researchers worldwide working on education research. Projects should be broadly conceived and have the potential to improve education. Applicants may be based anywhere in the world but they must apply in English and the budget provided in USD. The Grant provides funding of up to 500,000 USD (including 15% indirect costs) for projects spanning up to 5 years. Applications are assessed twice per year. Applications are assessed based on budget tiers - applicants are therefore encouraged to be accurate with the funding needs and apply for what is needed, rather than the largest amount possible.
The next applications open in December 2023. The letters of intent are due on January 24, 2024 and the full applications are due on February 27, 2024.
