The Media and Information Literacy for Societal Resilience initiative, supported by the European Media and Information Fund (EMIF), offers funding for projects focused on elevating media literacy levels across Europe. These projects aim to foster collaboration among educational institutions, academia, media literacy organizations, media outlets, fact-checkers, and online platforms. The program also seeks to improve digital media and information literacy skills.

Only organisations in a consortium located in the EU, EFTA and UK are eligible. Eligible organizations to lead or participate in the consortium include:

  • Non-profit entities such as public service media
  • Universities and educational institutions
  • Research centers
  • Non-governmental organizations
  • Media literacy organizations

Additionally, for-profit organizations serving as fact-checkers, news media outlets, technology providers, or research firms are also eligible to participate, provided that the consortium includes one or more of the aforementioned entities.

Funding of up to 400,000 EUR is available per project for a duration of 18 months.
