The NCI / SPORE Program from the Gateway for Cancer Research supports the National Cancer Institute (NCI)'s SPORE recipients the opportunity to apply for supplemental funding for their early phase, innovative clinical trials. The Gateway funding could enable principal investigators and their respective institutions to start a new trial by adding an additional arm, add patient cohorts and/or new correlative analysis.  Funding cannot duplicate scope of work of the SPORE award. Grants are generally awarded for a 2-5 year period, with total award amounts generally ranging from $200,000 to $1.5 million. Applicants are required to first submit a letter of intent (LOI). Eligible applicants will be given 4-5 weeks to complete their full application.

The next LOI closing date is April 18, 2024.
