Neurobiology of Brain Disorders Award (USA neuroscience)

The Neurobiology of Brain Disorders Award are funded by the McKnight Foundation to support neuroscience research in the USA, specifically studies that address the biological mechanisms of neurological and psychiatric disorders. This includes proposals that provide mechanistic insights into neurological functions at the synaptic, cellular, molecular, genetic or behavioral level across different species, including humans and vertebrate and invertebrate model organisms. A new additional area of interest is the contribution of the environment to brain disorders. Applicants must hold a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or higher. The Awards provide funding of 100,000 USD/year over 3 years. The letters of intent are due on December 12, 2022 and invited full applications are due on April 24, 2023.
