The New Preceptor Award from the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP) recognizes individuals who have excelled in training residents within their first 3-5 years as residency preceptors. These awardees serve as role models for new residency educators, embodying characteristics such as significant contributions to residency training, leadership, innovation, and community service.

Eligible applicants:

  • Must hold a valid pharmacist license in the United States.
  • Should have served as a pharmacy residency preceptor in an ASHP-accredited program within the last 3-5 years.
  • Currently engaged in precepting residents on either a core rotation or longitudinal rotation.
  • Must surpass the minimum requirements set forth for preceptors in the ASHP Residency Accreditation Standards.

Applications close on June 3, 2024.
