The Organisation Transformation Grant (OTG) from the National Heritage Board (NHB) in Singapore aims to encourage and support heritage businesses and organizations to adopt transformative and/or innovative projects that will contribute to the sustainability and long-term viability of their business.

The grant is open to heritage organizations and businesses (profit or non-profit) registered with Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) or with the Registry of Societies. Examples of heritage businesses and organization include the following categories:

  • The creation, production and/or retail of traditional craft products or food items and provision of related services;
  • The creation, production and/or retail of products, experiences or services linked to cultural heritage practices listed on Singapore’s Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage;
  • Businesses and organizations that aim to revive or re-introduce heritage products and services that was historically found in neighborhoods or cultural precincts; among other categories.

The funding is dedicated to transformation effort projects in three key areas: Products & Services, People, and Process & Systems. The projects should address the unique challenges faced by each business.

The OTG can provide up to 80% of supportable costs, and the grant amount is capped at 40,000 SGD per project. The supported projects should be completed within two years of the project start date. The grant is open for application twice a year, May/November.

The next application opens on November 5, 2024 and closes on December 14, 2024.
