Priorities 2023: Accelerating diagnosis and treatment (UK arthritis)

The Priorities 2023: Accelerating diagnosis and treatment grant from Versus Arthritis supports research in the UK that brings about more accurate and faster diagnosis and more timely, effective and targeted treatments, tailored to individuals, taking into consideration not just their genes but also the environment they live in. This call for proposals focuses on two areas of arthritis detection, prevention, and treatment:

  • Early detection and prevention: spotting the biological signatures of arthritis early to maximise the opportunities for timely intervention and preventing it from getting worse.
  • Targeted treatments: taking the guesswork out of treatment by increasing effective, reliable and timely drug and non-drug solutions to reduce, manage or cure disease.

Applicants must be tenured researchers at leading research institutions in the UK. Applicants may apply for up to 800,000 GBPP for up to 5 years. Funds may be used for salaries, expenses and small items of essential equipment. Applications close on November 9, 2022.

Discipline: Rheumatology
