The Core Research Grants from the Russell Sage Foundation supports social sciences research on issues related to the USA, specifically:

  • Behavioral Science and Decision Making in Context;
  • Future of Work;
  • Immigration and Immigrant Integration;
  • Promoting Educational Attainment and Economic Mobility among Racially, Ethnically, and Economically Diverse Groups after the 2023 Supreme Court Decision to Ban Race-Conscious Admissions at Colleges and Universities
  • Ethnicity and Immigration;
  • Social, Political, and Economic Inequality

There are no restrictions on researcher location or citizenship, but the research focus must be the USA. The grant provides up to 200,000 USD (including 15% indirect costs) over 2 years.

Letters of intent are due on April 16, 2024 and invited full applications are due on July 22, 2024.
