Research Grants (UK new PIs)

The Research Grants from The Royal Society provide funding for new independent investigators / principal investigators or those returning from a career break to purchase equipment or research consumables and are intended to be seed funding for new, promising research projects. Applicants must be within the first 5 years of their independent research careers. Funding is open to UK-based researchers working in the natural sciences, which includes but is not limited to biological research, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, and physics. The Grants provide 20,000 GBP over a period of 12 months. This is a bi-annual award and the next applications open on September 13 and close on November 10, 2022.
