Research Grants (UK new PIs)
The Research Grants from The Royal Society provide funding for new independent investigators / principal investigators or those returning from a career break to purchase equipment or research consumables and are intended to be seed funding for new, promising research projects. Applicants must be within the first 5 years of their independent research careers. Funding is open to UK-based researchers working in the natural sciences, which includes but is not limited to biological research, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, and physics. The Grants provide 70,000 GBP for up to 18 months.
This is a bi-annual award and the next applications close on October 4, 2023.
