The Royal Society‘s Short Industry Fellowships support established researchers in academia to form collaborations with industry through secondments in industry. Applicants must hold a PhD and hold a permanent post or have a fixed contract in either a university, not-for-profit research organisation or industry in the UK with an end date after the end date of the fellowship. Applicants should have research expertise in the natural sciences. The Fellowship provides the fellow’s basic salary for up to 6 months plus research expenses, while the employing organisation continues to pay national insurance and pension contributions.
