Share

The Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards for Senior Fellows is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and supports established researchers to change the direction of their research or broaden their scientific background by acquiring new research capabilities as independent investigators. Applicants must have at least 7 years of postdoctoral experience, and be US citizens or permanent residents. The host institution may be in the USA or abroad. The Fellowship provides sabbatical support for up to 2 years and is commensurate with the base salary or remuneration that the individual receiving the award would have been paid by the institution with which he or she has a permanent affiliation (does not include indirect costs). Applications follow the NIH standard application closing dates, i.e. April 8, August 8, and December 8.

The next applications close on August 8, 2023.
