UEF Grants Program (USA engineering)

The UEF Grants Program from the United Engineering Foundation funds research conducted in the USA that advance engineering. Research must be conducted at US institutions with a 501(c)(3) status. Preferred types of proposal include collaborative, broad-based, interdisciplinary proposals, or technical research proposals in engineering. Research may span a few years, but funding is awarded for a single year only. Proposals for subsequent years follow procedures similar to that of single-year proposals. The UEF provides between 5 – 10 grants per year totaling nearly $800,000 USD. The application process has two stages. Stage 1 includes the submission of a concept paper and closes on May 2, 2022. Selected proposals are invited for Stage 2, which involves a detailed proposal due by August 1, 2022.
