The ACLS Fellowships from the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) support outstanding scholarship in the humanities and interpretive social sciences. Applications are open to US-based untenured scholars, working on or off the tenure track, who have earned a PhD in the humanities or humanistic social sciences on or after September 29, 2015. The fellowship provides 60,000 USD for up to 12 months. Applications are open to US citizens and permanent residents. In addition, foreign nationals who have been living in the United States or US territories for three or more years before the application deadline are also eligible, provided that they do not establish permanent residence outside the United States during the period of the fellowship
