The 2024 Predoctoral Fellowship Program for Autistic Scientists from Autism Speaks supports PhD students working on autism worldwide. The Foundation seeks to promote the inclusion of individuals with autism in autism research. The candidate must be an enrolled student in a program leading to a research doctorate (such as a Ph.D. or Sc.D.) or a combined degree (such as an M.D./Ph.D.) in an academic department of an accredited university or health/medical institution.

The fellowship provides $40,000 USD/year (a stipend of $28,000 plus a $12,000 annual allowance). The allowance can be used for fringe benefits, research costs and supplies, professional travel and/or tuition reimbursement. Indirect costs are not allowed.

Letters of intent are due on June 26, 2024 and invited full applications are due on August 21, 2024.
