The Damon Runyon-St. Jude Pediatric Cancer Research Fellowship Award supports postdoctoral researchers in the USA working on pediatric cancer. Applicants must have completed one or more of the following degrees or its equivalent: MD, PhD, MD/PhD, DDS, DVM, DO. Candidates must apply for the Damon Runyon-St. Jude Pediatric Cancer Research Fellowship under the guidance of a Sponsor, a scientist (tenured, tenure-track, or equivalent position) capable of providing mentorship to the Fellow.

Candidates applying to work in foreign-based or United States government laboratories may be awarded a fellowship if the program represents an unusual opportunity for postdoctoral training. Non-US candidates may apply to do their research only in the United States.

The Fellowship provides a stipend starting at 70,000 USD per year for up to 4 years, plus 2000 USD in research expenses. Damon Runyon encourages physicians to pursue research careers. As part of this award program, Damon Runyon will pay up to $100,000 of outstanding medical school loans of Damon Runyon-St. Jude Pediatric Cancer Research Fellowship Award recipients.

Applications open on June 15, 2024 and close on August 15, 2024.
