2023 Established Investigator Award (USA cardiovascular or cerebrovascular science)

The 2023 Established Investigator Award from the American Heart Association (AHA) supports established excellent researchers in cardiovascular or cerebrovascular science in the USA. Applications must hold a M.D., Ph.D., D.O., D.V.M or equivalent degree and must be appointed at the Associate Professor level. All applicants must be AHA members when submitting the full application. The Award provides 80,000 USD (including 10% institutional indirect costs) for 5 years. The Award may be used for:

  • salary and fringe of the principal investigator, any collaborating investigators, and other participants with faculty appointments
  • salaries of technical personnel essential to the conduct of the project
  • supplies
  • equipment
  • travel
  • volunteer subject costs
  • data management
  • publication costs

Letters of intent are due on October 12, 2022. Invited full applications are due on January 12, 2023.
