The sea-changers‘s Grants support UK-based charities and other organizations, including schools, that carry out marine conservation-related activities by providing one-off grants. The funding is particularly aimed at grassroots projects that galvanize community action and projects that increase the number of people taking action for marine conservation.
The projects should achieve one or more of the following objectives:

  • To address the root causes of marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.
  • To prevent or reduce negative impacts on UK coastal and marine environments and/or species.
  • To add to the body of knowledge about marine conservation threats and challenges in the UK.

Funding is available for:
Small Grants – Grants of up to 500 GBP. Applications are open all year round and are reviewed regularly.
Main Grants – Grants between 500 GBP and 2,500 GBP. There are two grant rounds per year. The deadlines for applications are 31st March and 30th September each year. The next applications close on September 30, 2024.
