The Louis N. and Arnold M. Katz Basic Science Research Prize for Early Career Investigators from the American Heart Association (AHA)’s Council on Basic Cardiovascular Sciences recognizes the council’s early career investigator members’ achievements in basic cardiovascular research. Applicant must be active in research and within 10 years of completion of terminal degree or highest certificate.  Graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, instructors, and research associates are welcome to apply. All applicants must be members of the Council on Basic Cardiovascular Sciences. Applicants must submit an abstract for AHA’s Scientific Sessions 2023.

The winner will receive a $1,500 honorarium, a complimentary council dinner ticket, plus recognition at the council dinner.

Applicants must be an AHA member by May 31, 2024. Applications close on June 6, 2024.
